I actually found this really hard, coming up with things that people don't know about me. But I'll give it a try. If you already know this stuff I'm sorry. I guess I talk about myself too much...
1. I like to fake interview myself. Yes you read that right, like an interview that might happen say on the tonight show or something... I know it's extremely weird/dorky and I thought I'd grow out of it but here I am days before my 25th birthday and I still do it. I sit in front of the mirror and talk to myself... I don't know why but it's delightfully fun!
2. I really, really, really can't stand it when people are mad at me or don't like me for some reason. I spend a pretty good chunk of time trying to get people to like me. Not in a fake way. I'm always me but I would never want to offend people or be rude to them on purpose. Because of that if I DO feel like someone is angry with me it drives me crazy. I'm also not good at confronting them so I tend to just avoid them like the plague. (mature I know)
3. I complain every year about being the only one who really cooks Thanksgiving for my family but I really do love it. In fact it bothers me when people offer to do too much or try to take it away from me.
4. I have an obsession with finding the perfect baby names. That's why I say I have my names but then I end up changing them... I'm fairly sure it drives Nathan insane. I'm also truly afraid that I'll want to change my children's names after I've already named them.
5. My favorite Bible story growing up was always Daniel and the lion's den. And to this day if I hear a sermon about it it makes me INCREDIBLY happy!
6. I'm obsessed with the Elephant Man. (yes you read that correctly) Since the day I found out that he was an actual person for some reason that story has just really resonated with me and broke my heart in an odd way. I told my mom that I wished he was alive today so that I could be friends with him. Pretty much anyone who has a physical deformity breaks my heart especially if they're 100% normal mentally because how hard would it be to think, act and be a normal person who everyone treats like a freak. I can't explain it.... I just love the elephant man.
7. When I was in Jr. High I had a group of girls who called me the "trash girl" because after lunch they made me throw away their trash. And more than being mad at them I'm actually mad at myself for putting up with it.
8. I have a real, honest fascination with serial killers. I know that sounds crazy but I just find it so interesting trying to get inside their heads and what could possibly make someone be that twisted. This obsession scares Nathan and I'm fairly sure I've scared you now lol.
9. Mummies are my worst fear ever. I would much rather be locked in a room with 100 live snakes and spiders than in a room with one dead mummy. I have no idea why they freak me out so much but they really really do.
10. I would much rather load this dishwasher with dirty dishes than UNload the clean ones.
Ok I did it. :)

Love, Joy, Peace, PATIENCE!
So we have our little bundle of joy Jackson finally home with us. He seriously is the cutest puppy in the world, words can not describe it. However, having a new little puppy can seriously try your patience. Or at least he's trying mine.
I can report however on a happy note that the cats are doing really well with our new addition. Yes there is a little bit of hissing but for the most part they are adjusting really well which is important to me because they are our babies too!
Anyway if you haven't seen him in person yet you should come over sometime. Just let me know in advance because I'm pretty much like a run-down mother of a newborn and I might want to like um shower before you come over haha

Three Years
I can't believe I've been lucky enough to spend the last 3 years loving and being loved by the man of my dreams!
Our marriage is NOT perfect but it is everything I've ever wanted and more... I can't wait for everything that the next few years is going to bring.

"People you might know"
So today I was on Myspace and that thing came up that lists people who you "might know" because your friends know them... and who should pop up but a former best friend of mine who I had to cut out of my life in the past year or so for, well, a lot of reasons but mainly because she had become someone I couldn't allow to influence my life anymore.
It was weird when I saw her name...
So you're right I might know her... but maybe I never knew her at all.

Hellllooooooo 2009
I won't waste your time blathering on about how I never update... I'll just get straight into it :)
Here is a little summary of what's been going on since my last blog post. It's been a LOT so get ready.
1. Christmas - This year Nathan and I went to my grandma and grandpa's house in Arkansas for Christmas. It was nice mostly because it was the first year we had Christmas with my grandparents since we've been married.
It was a little odd this year though and I think it was because we exchanged gifts but it was pretty much all on the down low like not an official under the tree with wrapping paper thing. I've decided that Christmas just won't feel like CHRISTMAS until I have a baby thus giving both sides of our family their first grandchild (and great grandchild) and forcing everyone to be super traditional and merry.
It was still nice though and I must say I did have a nice "season" I sort of felt like Christmas lasted about 3 weeks. All in all a good year.
2. Friends - So, it's seriously the weirdest thing in the world but over the course of my life I've never been able to hold onto one steady group of friends... my little circle always seems to be growing, shrinking or just changing in general. It's very odd.
Of course when I left LA I left behind a GREAT group of friends and they are people who I still consider some of my very best friends but other than that I don't know...
I'm not saying this in a "poor me" way because I'm actually not really sad about it at all just interested in the phenomenon. I'm starting to think it's me though... am I constantly changing and becoming a different person? Lemme know... Jenn I'm talking to you haha
Anyway I said ALLLL that to say that for the first time probably since my California days I'm feeling extremely positive about the group of friends I've acquired. Not that I haven't had good friends (again Jenn) but I'm just talking about the group in general. I really feel like I've weeded out pretty much all the bad seeds and all that I have left are awesome, fun, Godly people who inspire me and make me happy.... it's pretty nice.
3. My pink laptop!!! - So I've pretty much been wanting a pink laptop forever and this year for Christmas I FINALLY got one! It's so nice to have a computer that is all my own and since I work on my computer it's nice to have one that I can take to Starbucks or White Rhino or whatever and work on without having to borrow someone else's
4. New years - I love New Years... I don't know why but something about having a new beginning is amazing! Every year I vow to lose weight and every year I fail (usually by January 21st) But this year I'm working pretty hard at it. Ok so it's only the 8th but still :)
I have my goals written out which is something I usually don't do and I've been actually USING my gym membership which is a welcomed change, especially for Nathan who grumbles every time the $40 comes out of our account and I haven't been in a month!
So yeah, we shall see how it goes but I'd REALLY like 2009 to be the year I actually do it!
5. Jackson - Nathan and I adopted an ADORABLE puppy from a lady in Mesquite. He's a chocolate lab who we've named Jackson or "Jack" and I just love him to death! The only thing is he's still too young to be away from his mother so he won't be ready to go home with us until the end of the month.
If you know anything about me and Nathan you know that we loooooove animals and we've been wanting a dog for a while so this is just really exciting for us.
6. Babies!!! - If you think I go crazy for puppies you should see me around babies! I've pretty much wanted to become a mom since the day I got married (ok BEFORE we got married but I just wasn't gonna act on it haha) So this year we've decided we're going to start trying to have a baby. But not just yet. We're actually waiting until my birthday which is in October but still to actually have a date in mind... that's big for us!
7. Colorado - Nathan and I are planning a trip to Colorado for our anniversary this year... more details on that later but it will probably be the 21st - 26th
ok well that's pretty much my life right now, I know this was long but since I apparently only post once a month I thought I'd catch you up.
xoxo
